Making blackberry jam with Grandma's seive.
Blackberry Jam
First, get an old plastic bucket and go blackberry picking. When you get home, put all your blackberries in a large pot with a little bit of water (around 1 cup water to 10 cups fruit) and cook 10 minutes or until soft
Press the berries and liquid through the seive. Measure 1 cup berry juice to 1 cup sugar and boil for 5-8 minutes. Put into your jam jars.
You can mix the berry pits with a little bit more water and run them through the seive again and then make blackberry syrup with that juice.
